As any of you that have done genealogy for any length of time know,
there is a real learning curve that occurs. When I first found Mary
Wilson Cline's tombstone I was aware that her maiden name was
Wilson. Since she is buried next to a Samuel Wilson I luckily snapped
of few shots of his tombstone. I finally pursued Samuel after
reaching a dead end looking for Mary's parents. It was Samuel's death
certificate, obituary, and pension papers that finally yielded the clues
that allowed me to discover their parents and siblings. Luckily most
of the family stayed in the Muscatine Co., Iowa area and serveral are
buried in the Moscow Cemetery (thanks to the Moscow Cemetery posting on
the US Genweb and a kind look-up volunteer, I now have more pictures and
information). However I am still trying to find grandparents of Samuel and Mary, although I have found that the parents of Samuel and Mary were in the Jennings Co., Indiana area before 1830.
Hopefully sometime soon I will uncover the leads that
will take me back another generation. I will post on the following pages
information that I have put together on John Wilson's descendants. »
