Hi! My name is Jan and I have
become addicted to genealogy. I used to have
several other hobbies and a much cleaner house!
Plus we used to be able to eat at the table which
I have now confiscated into a genealogy research center!
But then I found the fun and joys of tracing my family
tree. So, search around
and see what you find.
In trying to keep things
somewhat organized I have assigned each family
group a color. All of that families information
will be on pages of the same color. Also, on the right hand side of
every page there is a link that will take you to
the surname section for that family, which includes
descendant charts and pictures! I believe that I have
organized things so that any time you see a word in black
that is underlined you can just put your mouse on that spot
and click it and it will take you to another page on my
site. Every page also has a box
in the upper right hand corner that is a search engine
for my site. So, if you just type in a name or location
it will then search all the pages and let you know
where it found those word (or words).
If you have any corrections
or additions to make I would love to hear from you.
And as with all research this is a work in progress,
and I am sure there are errors and mistakes. Early on
in my research I was not very good about source
citation, and through the last few years I have
learned my lesson (time and time again). In addition, I may
have had contact with some of your 'lost cousins' and
will gladly share their e-mail address with you.
I would
suggest that any of you that are just starting out on
your quest to read some of the 'How to' info that
is out on the web or in some of the great books that
have been written. Some of the info here is my own
research and some of it is what others have kindly
shared with me. So, in the interest of giving due where
it is needed, please don't copy the information here without
first checking with me. And please don't submit the info
to any of the fee based sites on the web. I am a believer
in keeping genealogy free, and hate to see my research for
sale! Well, enough said. Search around and e-mail me with
any suggestions (or leads!).
Right now I am hot on the trail
of finding the parents of Philip Cline b.ca1777 and d.1850
in Portage Co., Ohio and am working (eternally) on finding
the parents of Benjamin Edenburn/Eddiburn b.ca 1802 in Ohio
or possibly Pennsylvania and died in 1849 in Guernsey Co.
or Tuscarawas Co. Ohio. Happy researching and good luck
digging up your roots!
Jan
P.S. In the interest of privacy there is nothing here about any living
persons. So, please don't ask me to add anything about anyone that
is still alive. And yes, this site is best viewed using Internet Explorer. Yup, I know how lots of folks feel about Microsoft, but IE really does have some good points about it. Feel free to contact me if you find any broken links or have any feedback.
